A is for Australia Honeymoon

An Australia honeymoon could bring you here, to the vibrant Gold Coast of Queensland, just south of Brisbane.  This is actually my home state, and it's a top honeymoon destination.  The Sunshine Coast, 2 hours north of Brisbane, also boasts pristine white beaches, that stretch as far as the eye can see.

It all depends on whether you prefer a bit more "glitz and glamour" (Gold Coast honeymoon) or a more natural environment of coastal rainforest and quiet sophistication (Sunshine Coast).

Or you might like to go further north still to the Whitsundays, for a sailing vacation.  This group of islands is part of the Great Barrier Reef.  So if you love snorkling and other water sports, then you will love this unique honeymoon destination.

Australians are known for their friendly, laid-back approach to life.   They will be happy to help you make this the best honeymoon!

A is also for African Safari

A wild animal safari is definitely one of the most exciting adventure honeymoons.   And there are several safaris in Africa to choose from.   Possibly the most popular are the Kenya safaris and the South Africa safari.   But there's also a Tanzania safari and a Botswana safari.

I myself did the Kenya luxury safari... at Governor's Tented Camp in the Masai Mara.  This was almost like stepping onto the set of "Out of Africa"!   Any moment I expected Robert Redford or Meryl Streep to appear out of nowhere.  Alas, they didn't!

However, this kind of safari could be compared a bit to the glamping trend of today.  But much more old-world.

These tented camps are very spacious... with a bed -- complete with old-fashioned mosquito net -- a writing desk and chair -- and separate tent at the back for private bathroom.

Each morning hot tea and miniature scones were delivered to the front door of the tent by a courteous staff member.  At lunchtime and in the evening there was a beautiful open-air buffet, with chef cooking hot dishes in front of you.   In between, there were 3 game runs, where you stand or sit on the back of a jeep as you go exploring a huge reserve, looking for a multitude of different animals.

I never expected to be so excited, as I was, at the sight of these beautiful wild creatures...  just like this cheetah in the photo above... who had several young cubs with her.

You'll want to take your safari binoculars and a camera with a zoom lens, to show everyone back home your safari pictures.

Might one of these adventure vacations be the best honeymoon choice for you?

B is for Bahamas Honeymoon

Your Bahamas honeymoon can be whatever you want it to be.   You might like to take a cruise to the Bahamas.  Or, if you simply want to BE there, be pampered and enjoy the ambience of this relaxing tropical honeymoon, then there is plenty to do -- or not do.  It's totally up to you.

It's the perfect spot for boating or sailing, diving or fishing, sightseeing or shopping, colourful nightlife or quiet romantic dinners.   Why not mix it up -- tick "e" -- and do all of the above!  Whatever it takes to make this the best honeymoon for you.

And because this is one of the top honeymoon destinations, the Bahamas tourism industry offers great honeymoon holiday packages.   They even have created their own honeymoon registry.  That way, your wedding guests can contribute to your island honeymoon.

And if you prefer a Bahamas cruise, you could still have your guests gift you your honeymoon -- click here to see more.

B is also for Belize Vacation

A Belize vacation goes hand in hand with luxury hotels and resorts.  So you can be sure that your Belize honeymoon is going to be beautiful.  In fact, geographically, it is incredibly diverse, so its natural beauty is also what makes Belize one of the best honeymoon spots.

As well as stunning beaches, Belize has its own barrier reef just offshore.  So this is a diver's delight.   Another impressive attraction is the Great Blue Hole, a giant sinkhole approx 70 km from the mainland.

And, if you can manage to draw yourself away from the coast, then venturing inland brings its own rich rewards.  Dense jungle, complete with Mayan ruins, is just part of this terrain.  You can visit the High Temple at Lamanai, which was once a major city of the Mayan civilisation.

So Belize might be a great option for the best luxury honeymoon vacation.

C is for Canadian Ski Vacation ...

Whether it's Mont Tremblant in the east, or Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort in the west, a Canadian ski vacation is a perfect honeymoon idea.

Whistler is only 90 minutes from Vancouver, the capital of the beautiful province of British Columbia.  As for Mount Tremblant, in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, you'll feel like you've stepped into a charming European-style picture postcard, by day and night.

The third largest ski resort in Canada is also in British Colombia, just 45 minutes drive from Kamloops.  This is Sun Peaks Resort, an alpine village -- with 3 mountains, 135 ski runs and over 4,000 acres of ski-able terrain.  It also prides itself on having over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year!

Each of these centres are year-round resorts, not just for snow sports but also for hiking, spa time, shopping and great dining.

Imagine being curled up together by a log fire, apres-ski... sipping on something warm -- or a glass of champagne -- to celebrate the start of your ski honeymoon.  Canada ski vacations are immensely popular, so you get to choose which side of the country works best for you as a destination.

If you love ski and snow sports, then this option has real potential as the best honeymoon.

C is also for Cancun Honeymoon ...

A Cancun honeymoon will bring you to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.  This sun-drenched playground is just the thing if you love lazing by the pool with a good book... only a few steps away from the bluest of oceans.

Actually, this part of Mexico borders on the Caribbean Sea and is famous for its expansive white sandy beaches and high-rise hotels along the waterfront .  So if you like a bit of nightlife as well, then this could be one of the best honeymoon places for you.

For a more secluded honeymoon, you might like to consider these luxury beach house rentals less than 2 hours away in Tulum.  Click here for the ultimate luxury Mexico vacation.

D is for Dinner Cruise

A Dinner Cruise is a very special treat indeed.  A wonderful example is the famous Bateaux boat in New York.  The city that never sleeps is something to behold when seen from the River at night.   Enjoy this very elegant dinner (or lunch) experience as you cruise along the Hudson, gliding past famous landmarks as the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Inspired by European-style river cruise boats, like in Amsterdam, these boats are all glass, so your views of the New York skyline are constantly visible.  With live entertainment and first class food and wine, this is a dining experience you'll never forget.
